Integral part of the Radiology team providing patient and departmental support, ensuring efficient workflow and safe patient care. Performs a wide range of services including pre and post procedure and exam set up and tasks, clerical needs, stocking, inventory management, room turn over, and disinfection of department and equipment. Procedural duties include sterile procedure set up, adherence to Universal Protocol, identification verification, specimen and medication labeling, specimen collection and handling. Assists with patient transport, patient transfer techniques, exam set up and patient positioning. Requires knowledge and proficiency in electronic applications for scheduling, transport, documentation, image review, and communications. Other job-related duties as assigned by leadership, including training of new employees. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Communicates professionally with all staff, patients, and visitors throughout the campus. Department-specific responsibilities may include education, knowledge, and adherence to safe practices involving equipment and isolation precautions, and assistance with power injectors, removal of IVs, removal and application of leads, cuffs and O2, obtaining and loading prior outside imaging and reports, and assisting with tracking studies.
