About The Position

Integral part of the Radiology team providing patient and departmental support, ensuring efficient workflow and safe patient care. This role involves performing a wide range of services and requires excellent communication, customer service, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail. The ability to prioritize daily tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment is essential, along with adaptability and flexibility within a strong team structure. Functions include, but are not limited to, pre and post-procedure and exam set up and tasks, assisting with clerical needs, stocking, inventory management, room turnover, and disinfection of the department and equipment. Procedural duties include sterile procedure set up, adherence to Universal Protocol, identification verification, specimen and medication labeling, and specimen collection and handling. The role also involves assisting with patient transport, patient transfer techniques, exam set up, and patient positioning. Proficiency in electronic applications for scheduling, transport, documentation, image review, and communications is required. Other job-related duties as assigned by leadership, including training new employees, are also part of this role. Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times and communicating professionally with all staff, patients, and visitors throughout the campus are critical. Department-specific additional responsibilities may include required education, knowledge, and adherence to safe practices involving equipment and isolation precautions, as well as knowledge and assistance with power injectors, removal of IVs, removal and application of leads, cuffs and O2, obtaining and loading prior outside imaging and reports, and assisting with tracking studies.
