About The Position

Demonstrates ability and appropriate technical skills when administering imaging procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures and /or as needed by physician/provider. Functions in more than one modality including surgery. Compassionately gives patient care to provide comfort and well-being to the patient acknowledging physiological and psychological needs according to policy and procedures governing department. Prioritizes and performs duties to complete daily assignments in an appropriate and timely manner. Completes documentation thoroughly, legibly, and accurately according to department guidelines and in a timely manner. Actively participates in charge capture/cost containment activities according to specialty area expectations. Ensures that designated work area is clean and stocked with supplies on an ongoing basis. Operates equipment correctly and keeps Supervisor informed of any needed repairs. Participates in orientation, education, and self-development, including student training. Searches for better ways of doing things by recommending and/or initiating suggestions for improvement of departmental operations and/or services provided. Works well with others and supports team efforts. Provides quality service to all customers (Internal and External). Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in accepting work assignments. Responds positively to changing circumstances. Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles for protection. Shows proficiency in use of the Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) and Radiology Information system pertaining to job specific functions. Performs other related duties as assigned. Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health. Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

Requirements

Two years post-high school education training in an AMA approved School of Radiology.
Current registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and current Indiana Radiologic Technologist General license; or must be registry eligible with AART registry and Indiana General Radiologic Technologist license to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.
