The Radiologic Technologist Inpatient performs diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation to support patient care. This role utilizes specialized equipment and clinical judgment to ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team. The Radiologic Technologist Inpatient Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment. Assesses patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safe and appropriate care. Positions patients and operates equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Administers contrast media and performs additional procedures as required. Monitors patients for adverse reactions and responds appropriately. Prepares patients for procedures and provides education regarding imaging processes. Documents procedures and maintains accurate patient records in electronic systems. Utilizes PACS and electronic medical record systems for image management and workflow. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care. Performs imaging in various settings including Emergency Department, inpatient units, and operating rooms. Assists with sterile and interventional procedures as required. Maintains competency in required certifications and continuing education. Supports training and development of students and staff. Maintains a safe environment and adheres to radiation safety standards. Participates in on-call, holiday, and rotating shift coverage as required. Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.
