About The Position

Silo Ridge Field Club is seeking a Seasonal Racquet Sports Supervisor to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Silo Ridge Field Club, set in Amenia, New York. The position is from June to November 2026. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • Proficient knowledge of indoor and outdoor recreational activities and sports/fitness programs.
  • 5+ years of racquet sports play
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • AED, First Aid, and CPR certified
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred to have hospitality experience at resorts, private clubs or hotels.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain appearance of the fitness center and tennis/pickleball court area throughout the day to include stock and re-stocking of items as needed such as towel display, food, and beverage items.
  • Maintain bulletin board with workout suggestions and upcoming fitness events.
  • Be familiar with functionality of all machines be able to answer member inquiries regarding machines.
  • Maintaining appearance of tennis and pickleball courts such as brushing HarTru courts as needed and maintaining cooler with beverages and ice.
  • Participation in activities with members as requested.
  • When driving a company vehicle (SUV, golf cart, ATV) always maintain compliance with federal and state safety requirements and adhere to the Company’s motor vehicle policy.
  • Safely transporting members to and from activities throughout the property in a golf cart.
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns immediately to the Director of Outdoor Pursuits.
  • Complete daily set-up/breakdown of department activities per the departments SOP.
  • Assist with inventory counts as requested.
  • Staying current on all activities offered and equipment related to recreational activities.
  • Demonstrate or train others on safe and effective usage of all fitness and racquet sport activities.
  • Work with the Director of Outdoor Pursuits to create and innovate amenities and experiences offered.
  • Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
