Racquet Sports Shop Attendant (Part-time)
About The Position
The Country Club at DC Ranch is seeking a part-time Racquet Sports Shop Attendant to provide welcoming, friendly, service-focused support for members and guests at its Racquet Sports Center. Attendants are often the first point of contact for visitors to the tennis and pickleball facilities. The role supports merchandise sales, phone inquiries, court reservations, shop presentation, and preparation of courts and surrounding amenities, helping deliver the Club’s hospitality experience. The position works Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It includes both indoor shop operations and outdoor court preparation as needed.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn point-of-sale and court reservation systems.
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, and work independently in a member-focused environment.
- Willingness to assist with both indoor shop operations and outdoor court preparation as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Familiarity with tennis and/or pickleball is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist members and guests in person and over the phone, providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist with merchandise sales, product recommendations, and maintaining attractive, organized retail displays.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and assist with court reservations using Whoosh.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the Racquet Sports Shop.
- Facilitate daily opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure tennis and pickleball courts are prepared for member play.
- Maintain court amenities, including water, ice, beverages, and other supplies.
- Assist members with setting up the ball machine as needed.
- Support communication and promotion of Racquet Sports programs through flyers, emails, phone calls, and bulletin board updates.
- Work closely with the Racquet Sports team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable member experience.
