About The Position

As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Racker to join our team. The ideal candidate will prepare aluminum parts for alodine/anodizing chemical processing by placing parts on racks and or baskets according to their size and shape.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology
  • Only “U.S. persons,” as defined by law, can access, view, or share sensitive information or materials related to defense and military technologies. A “U.S. person” is a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or someone admitted as a refugee or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Select racks/baskets according to size, shape, and number of objects to be processed.
  • Verify paperwork, then count parts prior to racking and count again upon completion of chemical treatment processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Place parts on racks with wire or clips according to customer requirements as indicated on work instructions.
  • Remove parts from racks.
  • Perform visual inspection to verify finish is in compliance with specifications.
  • Complete required documentation.
  • Transport parts to next area.
  • Handle hazardous materials safely while wearing appropriate safety attire.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Follow work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.
