About The Position

Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises 4 team members: Motocross Racing Technologist, Senior Fabricator, Senior Coordinator Racing Parts and Transportation and the Transportation Specialist. Designs high performance parts for motocross racing. Creates engineering drawings for racing motorcycles. Analyzes data collected on racing motorcycles to design parts to further enhance performance and reliability. Organizes and tracks all technical projects created or modified in the machine shop to ensure all schedules are met. Establishes the day-to-day schedule of the machine shop based on input from management regarding priorities. Programs the CNC machine to create parts used to meet the needs of the Kawasaki Pro Racing team. Sets up, operates and maintains the Kawasaki CNC machining center to meet the needs of the Kawasaki racing team. Machines parts to specific dimensions Exercises the highest degree of safety when operating all equipment and machinery; reports any injuries or unsafe working conditions to management. Keeps tools, parts and equipment organized at all times. Maintains superior understanding of all mechanical equipment and machinery. Researches appropriate supply vendors in an effort to locate quality materials at the best prices. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all company information, product technology, research and development components, etc. Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college is preferred; and minimum fifteen years related experience and/or training in a race team management environment; and ten years’ experience programming and operating and CNC machining center; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
