SUMMARY Maintains records of horsemen accounts and purse funds and facilitates all transactions related to same in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength and compliance goals.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability .   • High School Diploma/GED; 0-6 months of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and regulatory agencies.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and manuals.
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from employees and guests.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions
  • Basic Computer knowledge; MS Office; Incompass Software
  • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board .

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of all financial transactions for owners and jockey accounts.
  • Accept all check requests; print and distribute all checks.
  • Complete Jockey payroll; print and distribute all checks.
  • Enter race results for each race including jockey or owner changes, scratches, double jockey mounts, PA bonus money for jockeys, and claims.
  • Record and update all accounts nightly.
  • Handle end of month reports including photographer, Teleview, Pa. Breeders, Jockey Guild, special requested statements, and all account summaries; issue checks if required.
