As a Race Engine Assembler you will join a team of highly skilled professionals who are committed to ensuring every engine we build for the water and racetrack performs with Ilmor-standard perfection.

Requirements

  • Vocational or Associates in a related subject such as assembly, engineering, engine tech would be preferred
  • Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of recent hands-on race engine or race engine sub assembly experience
  • Must have full knowledge of empirical and metric measuring equipment, including digital height gauges
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and build any type of engine designed, manufactured, or serviced by Ilmor following industry standard assembly techniques
  • Measure components to close tolerances
  • Set and verify part clearances
  • Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
  • Accurate use of measuring equipment and the required hand tools
  • Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes
  • Crack testing of parts using non-destructive methods
  • Engine build record keeping with component history data
  • Other duties may be assigned
