About The Position

Be part of the team that brings races, competitions, and training events to life at Mt. Hood Meadows! As a Race/Competitions Team Member, you’ll help build, operate, and maintain race and event venues throughout the season. From setting gates and safety fencing to preparing start and finish areas, you’ll be right in the middle of the action on the mountain. You’ll help set up and break down venues, maintain equipment, hand-groom and dye courses, move equipment, monitor activities, and support race and competition events from preparation through teardown. You’ll work closely with the Race/Competitions team and other Meadows departments to keep events running safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. If you’re an advanced skier or snowboarder who enjoys working outside, staying active, and being part of the energy of race day, this is a great opportunity to combine your mountain skills with hands-on event operations. You’ll spend your winter on the mountain, helping create the courses and events where athletes push their limits and compete at Mt. Hood Meadows. This is a Part-time, seasonal position

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old or older for insurance purposes
Valid driver’s license
Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability
Ability to lift and carry gear up to 20lbs while skiing/riding
Previous guest service experience
Ability to work outdoors in extreme winter weather conditions
Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the ski and snowboard season

Nice To Haves

Previous ski and/or snowboard race and competitions experience
Knowledge of Mt. Hood Meadows Terrain

Responsibilities
