This role performs a wide variety of electromechanical production subassembly and assembly operations of a semiskilled nature to disassemble and assemble difficult and complex units in a repetitive environment. The Group Lead will assist the area supervisor in day-to-day operations of the group and will fill in during the Supervisor's absence.

Requirements

  • High School Trade School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Generally, more than 5 years of related experience required.
  • Must be able to read and understand assembly documentation, blueprints and/or wire lists.
  • Must be familiar with general computer operation.
  • May be required to perform basic soldering of PTH and SMT assemblies.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Nice To Haves

  • IPC Soldering Certification a plus.
  • QSR experience a plus.
  • English - Advanced (Preferred Language)

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes and tests units where operations and sequences are specified by established documentation.
  • Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
  • Operate basic electronic test equipment such as volt meters Hi-pot and leakage.
  • May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections.
  • Set up and operates automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment.
  • Create non-conforming/defect records and process material accordingly.
