About The Position

XTL Transport is currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our dynamic operations team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, dispatching, and monitoring transportation activities, while managing the day-to-day performance of a fleet of drivers. This role plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and top-tier service in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year dispatching experience or a combination of logistics/transportation education
Understanding of dispatch systems with a willingness to learn
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Bilingual proficiency
Strong motivation to learn and grow within the industry

Responsibilities

Plan, dispatch, and monitor driver performance to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries
Maintain constant communication with drivers through phone and internal messaging tools
Monitor and respond to operational emails in real-time
Assign and adjust trips dynamically based on load demands, driver availability, and customer requirements
Help manage a fleet of drivers by overseeing schedules, attendance, and compliance
Manage and monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS)
Plan efficient delivery routes in accordance with company policies and customer needs
Create and manage cross-border documentation (ACE/ACI)
Communicate clearly with drivers performing both domestic and Canada–US cross-border deliveries
Update dispatch systems with real-time and accurate information (TMS experience an asset)
Coordinate with warehouse teams, customers, and internal departments
Resolve service issues promptly or escalate when necessary
Maintain administrative records related to dispatching and fleet utilization
