About The Position

As the R/O Plant Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and compliance of our Reverse Osmosis (R/O) leachate treatment facility. You will lead a team of operators to ensure all treated water meets stringent environmental standards while maintaining a safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation. Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience within operations of R/O treatment plant.
  • Prior experience in water treatment, specifically with Reverse Osmosis systems, is highly preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be familiar with and ensure compliance with relevant environmental permits and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, CDL requirements where applicable).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the leadership presence to maintain positive employee relations and a professional corporate image.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with waste industry operations is a plus.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the R/O treatment plant, including system monitoring, chemical dosing, and membrane cleaning cycles.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise plant personnel. Foster a culture of safety and professional development through regular coaching and performance reviews.
  • Ensure the facility operates in 100% compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Lead monthly safety meetings and conduct routine inspections to prevent accidents.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance on high-pressure pumps, filters, and instrumentation. Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical or process upsets to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate logs of plant performance, water quality metrics, and chemical inventory. Enter daily productivity data into the GFL operating system.
  • Manage supplies (membranes, chemicals, PPE) within authorized budget levels and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
