About The Position

Under the authority of the Technical Direction Manager, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the event. During performances, they ensure that everything proceeds at the planned pace by giving precise instructions to the production team to ensure the successful execution of the evening.

Requirements

• DEP or AEC in sound, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in leading a work team.
• Technical knowledge is an asset (sound, lighting).
• Good communication skills.
• Very good knowledge of French.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Sense of responsibility.
• Good judgment.
• Leadership.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Works in collaboration with IATSE technicians, the Event Director, the Technical Direction Manager, the Master of Ceremonies, and representatives.
• Verifies and corrects the roadmap (pacing) in collaboration with the Assistant Pyrotechnics Production Manager and the Master of Ceremonies.
• Welcomes the production team.
• Distributes the roadmap to the team, explaining the content and important information for the evening.
• At the appropriate time, ensures everyone is in their position and ready.
• Ensures complete calm in the control room during performances.
• Before the fireworks, ensures the schedule for the protocol part is accurate.
• Ensures the fireworks start at the correct time, without delay.
• During performances, gives clear and precise signals to the team at the right moments without hesitation.
• Ensures their work environment is clean at all times.
• Ensures they have correct and adequate attire, according to park requirements, at all times.
• Performs any other related tasks.
