Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: R&D Department/Local Unit Lead. You will be responsible for prototyping and testing electrical distribution products. Prototyping will include material handling, assembly, and instrumentation of large and medium sized switch gear. Testing will include temperature rise testing, dielectric testing, environmental testing, and endurance testing.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in electrical/electronic technology or equivalent experience
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in electrical engineering and/or testing environment
  • Experience and understanding of electrical systems and electrical safety
  • Experience with meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, test, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience with low voltage and medium voltage switchgear
  • Position requires domestic and international travel

Responsibilities

  • Material handling and coordination for test projects
  • Assembly and modifications of test objects
  • Safely execute high voltage and high current testing
  • Understand and verify test results
  • Identify and help create new test equipment and fixtures to improve efficiency of testing
  • Maintain existing test equipment
