Dupont Water Solutions is a global leader in technologies that enable water purification, reuse in industrial processes, recovery of critical resources, and sustainable liquid separations. We are looking for someone passionate about delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that improve access to clean water and enhance quality of life. Position Overview The R&D Technologist supports both new technology development and manufacturing of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF) products. This role provides analytical testing and data interpretation to support cross-functional teams in R&D, TS&D, Manufacturing Technology, and the Element Evaluation Lab to address customer applications and challenges. This is an on-site role in Edina, MN. Relocation for this role is not supported.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (relevant experience may be considered)
  • 20+ hours of college-level coursework in technical disciplines (chemistry, engineering, polymer science, or similar) required
  • 2+ years of R&D lab experience preferred, including operation and maintenance of analytical equipment
  • Ability to work independently, from task initiation through data analysis and reporting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of analytical techniques (ICP, ICP-MS, FTIR, SEM, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analytical testing on RO/NF membranes, feed and permeate streams, microbial samples, and customer samples
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments and custom testing equipment
  • Develop, validate, and continuously improve analytical methods and lab processes
  • Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
  • Ensure safe lab operations and maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Actively support site and department safety initiatives
  • Document and report experimental data using LIMS
