About The Position

The Research and Development Technician Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Research and Development, supporting experiments, research, and development projects. Duties include making and shipping samples, maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment, ordering and stocking supplies, and collecting and organizing data. Work conditions and working time vary based on work and project needs, and flexibility is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with laboratory and kitchen equipment and instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other relevant software applications.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience working in a laboratory or commercial kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Make and ship samples to support the team.
• Monitor experiments and record observations accurately and efficiently.
• Collect and organize data from experiments and research, and assist with data analysis.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and keep it clean and in good working order.
• Order and stock laboratory supplies and ensure they are available when needed.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with Research and Development team members.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for improving laboratory processes and procedures.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Research and Development.
