About The Position

The R&D Technician will assist and help support the R&D researcher or research team with product development and developmental product assignments. This role involves following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identifying and solving problems to improve performance, and assisting with the development and maintenance of formulations. The technician will be responsible for accurate sample preparation, including weighing, measuring, and data record keeping, as well as proper sample collection. The position also includes assisting with research, scale-up, and batch-down processes in full production, along with proper cleaning and sanitizing, dispensing, mixing, film making, and packaging.

Requirements

Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
Experience working in R&D
Basic mathematical understanding
Basic Chemistry Understanding
Understanding of GMP, GLP and GDP
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written instructions such as work instructions and SOPs.
Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software programs
B.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, or Biology.

Nice To Haves

Able to read and communicate in English.
Experience in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or Food Technology
Scientific or Engineering background
Attention to detail and the willingness to acquire new skills and learn on a daily basis
M.S. (or B.S. + 3–5 years industry experience)
