Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in medical devices.
  • Working knowledge of FDA Design Controls and ISO 13485.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of quality systems and processes, manufacturing and product development processes.
  • Thrives in a multitasking environment and working with global internal and external partners.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient use of laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Proficient in recording original data.
  • Ability to use computer for word processing, spreadsheets, document retrieval, e-mail, business calendars.
  • Basic understanding of documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in applied science or technology preferred.
  • Experience preferred with disposables R&D and/or disposables manufacturing.
  • Experience preferred with plastics processing and secondary operations (e.g.: extrusion, injection molding, solvent bonding, RF welding).
  • Familiarity with GMP/GLP desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of research and development tasks and experiments in mechanical testing and material characterization laboratory per company procedures.
  • Perform detailed analyses and tests.
  • Assist in compiling observations, analyzing data and interpreting results.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory levels, and lab organization.
  • Assist in writing reports, summaries, and protocols.
  • Maintain record keeping for experiments performed.
  • Perform troubleshooting and coordinate calibration of equipment.
  • Build engineering prototypes.
  • Work with suppliers and procurement to obtain samples and products.
  • Utilize measurement equipment to complete product inspections.
