About The Position

The R&D Tech 1 at Falcon Shocks supports the shock absorber research and development team by assisting with test fitments, tuning setups, and dyno testing. This entry-level position focuses on performing hands-on technical work to help ensure accurate and consistent results in the development of high-performance shock products.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in an automotive, mechanical, or suspension-related field (professional or hobbyist).
• Basic understanding of suspension systems and mechanical components.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong interest in suspension tuning and development.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow technical skills within the suspension tuning field.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with vehicle maintenance, modification, or testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in shock absorber testing, tuning, and validation under direction from the tuning engineers.
• Perform vehicle and shock test fitments to verify installation and function.
• Support dyno testing operations, including setup, operation, and data collection.
• Record and organize test results and feedback for engineering review.
• Help maintain tuning equipment, dyno tools, and testing vehicles.
• Follow established R&D procedures and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accurate testing.
