About The Position

We are seeking highly motivated candidates to contribute to Delsys’ research and development of next-generation, human-centric sensor technology. Software Engineers in this role will focus on building robust backend systems, embedded processing pipelines, and real-time applications for physiological monitoring, human movement tracking, VR/AR experiences, speech analysis, and neural interface technologies. The position requires expertise in developing signal processing and computer vision pipelines, embedded systems, and scalable software architecture for time-critical applications. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with developers, R&D engineers and scientists, gaining hands-on experience in translating research innovations into deployable technologies.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in or completed a BS or MS in computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
Strong experience in C++ and Python required.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Working knowledge of signal processing or computer vision techniques.
Must be able to show valid work eligibility.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with CUDA, Bash, Powershell, C#.
Ability to pick up new languages.
Experience with version control and CLI.
Experience with hardware platforms (NVIDIA Jetson) and sensors (Delsys sensors, machine vision cameras).

Responsibilities

Implement high-bandwidth real-time signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning pipelines for wearable and non-contact sensors.
Participate in scoping, designing, and developing new system architectures.
Implement backend systems and microservices to support data acquisition, processing, and visualization in real-time applications.
Optimize computational performance and identify bottlenecks in embedded and software systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software pipelines into hardware prototypes and validate system performance in real-world settings.
