About The Position

Keysight’s R&D team is seeking a hardware design engineering intern to work on a signal source project and help develop next-generation technology for challenging test and measurement instrument applications. The role involves using circuit design and analysis tools, along with test and measurement equipment, to debug and analyze prototypes. The intern will work with a collaborative, diverse team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to help turn designs into shipping products. The team is based in Santa Rosa, California.

Requirements

Working toward an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Strong analog, RF, and/or microwave circuit fundamentals.
Strong work ethic.
Self-motivated and enjoys solving difficult problems in a team environment.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with a team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to microwave and power electronic circuit concepts.
Familiarity with guided wave propagation, including transmission lines.
PCB design and layout experience, including component selection.
Experience with circuit schematic and layout tools.
Experience with circuit simulation tools.
Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
Ability to perform hands-on measurements with VNAs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
