About The Position

The R&D Quality Manager will lead end‑to‑end quality assurance for the R&D organization, product design quality and NPI process improvements, driving the adoption of contemporary tools and methodologies for GE Vernova’s software-enabled industrial and energy technologies. This role requires strong leadership in New Product Introduction (NPI) process with focus on validation and verification and expertise in hardware and software development for critical infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in ensuring high product reliability, driving continuous improvement through data‑driven root cause analysis and customer issue resolution, and problem solving.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting hardware and software based NPI organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supporting test automation strategy and implementation
  • 7+ years QA/Test Engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong grounding in SDLC, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps.
  • Strong experience with V&V across all phases of testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial, grid, energy, or OT/IT environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized systems.
  • Experience with tooling such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Git, GHCP, Jenkins, Appium, Selenium, Playwright.
  • Experience in safety‑critical or regulated product environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall QA strategy for NPI program deliverables within GE Vernova’s Grid Automation & Software R&D technology portfolio.
  • Implement and track KPIs for end-to-end NPI process.
  • Drive NPI process quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with R&D leaders and team.
  • Lead ACT backlog, defect backlog and resolution time reduction.
  • Drive DFMEA/SFMEA adoption.
  • Review V&V strategy and plans with R&D execution team and propose improvements.
  • Lead NPI Process audits and drive improvement initiatives to fix non-conformances.
  • Lead customer issue investigations using 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and Kepner‑Tregoe to drive speed and quality of issue resolution.
  • Partner with engineering, product, cyber security, and field services teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track and report test/quality metrics and deliver test exit summaries.
  • Drive continuous improvement across QA processes, tooling, and automation maturity.
