About The Position

TekniPlex is hiring an R&D Project Manager for our Eatontown, NJ facility. This role plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The Project Manager may also assist with executing project actions such as supporting design or process improvements or manufacturing documentation. This position is part of a global team focused on innovations in materials science that improve patient outcomes in healthcare and protect essential consumer goods. The company has over 8,000 colleagues across 12 countries and focuses on industries like healthcare, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, beauty, and personal care.

Requirements

4 yr. Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or related science field.
3+ years’ experience in a new product development environment, manufacturing environment, or related field.
Strong leadership experience
Proficiency with required Computer Aided Design and Engineering tools.
Proficiency with typical office software, word processors, spreadsheet, databases, etc.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment
Ability to adapt to changes and manage multiple tasks
Strong work ethic
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

Project Manager certification a plus.
Creo and AutoCAD are preferred

Responsibilities

Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
Confers with project staff to outline a work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
Holds customer meetings and manages customer communications.
Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
Understand and document customer/project requirements.
Define and document product/engineering specifications and other project deliverables.
Develop and optimize designs or processes for implants and catheter-based systems.
