About The Position
Legend Biotech is a global biotechnology company dedicated to treating, and one day curing, life-threatening diseases. Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma. Legend Biotech is seeking candidates for Legend's R&D Management Leadership Development Program as part of the R&D team based in Somerset, NJ / Philadelphia, PA. Role Overview The R&D Leadership Program at Legend Biotech is a highly selective, enterprise leadership accelerator designed for high-performing PhD scientists with 7–10 years of industry experience who are ready to transition from deep scientific expertise to enterprise-level leadership. The R&D Management Hi-Po Leadership Development Program is a 2-3 year project-based enterprise leadership accelerator designed for high-potential experienced PhD graduates who aspire to shape the future of cell and gene therapy As a participant, you will take on three enterprise-critical projects, each aligned to key business priorities and pipeline milestones. Requirements
- PhD required in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Cell Biology, or related life sciences disciplines.
- 7–10 years of industry experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or related industry
- Demonstrated experience advancing scientific or clinical programs in R&D
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect scientific work to broader org. strategy
- Demonstrated record of scientific rigor, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Clear aspiration and potential to grow into scientific and enterprise leadership roles.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects that directly impact R&D strategy, clinical advancement, or manufacturing scalability
- Partner with senior leaders across Research, Clinical, Regulatory, and Technical Operations to drive decision-making
- Translate scientific insights into actionable business and development strategies
- Contribute to the advancement of cell and gene therapy programs from early discovery through commercialization
- Present recommendations and insights to executive leadership, influencing enterprise priorities
