About The Position

Sika is seeking an experienced Technician to support laboratory testing and product development. The role involves compounding formulations and products according to instructions; testing laboratory and production samples and raw materials; and carrying out minor projects and testing plans with minimum supervision. The Technician maintains accurate formulation and test records, prepares reports or memos, and flags abnormalities. The position also includes maintaining laboratory equipment and clean work areas, ordering and storing materials and supplies, following safety procedures and proper PPE requirements, and attending company-provided training. Requirements

• High school diploma or college degree in general sciences.
• Some industry experience related to rubber, plastics, or adhesive materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Compound formulations and products according to instructions.
• Test laboratory samples, production samples, and raw materials.
• Work on minor projects and testing plans with minimum supervision.
• Keep accurate records of formulations and test results, generate reports, and flag abnormalities.
• Prepare reports or memos on assigned tasks or projects.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition.
• Keep assigned and shared work areas clean and tidy in accordance with 5S and safety guidelines.
• Order raw materials and laboratory supplies as assigned.
• Store raw materials, retains, and reference samples in designated areas.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures, including equipment procedures and proper PPE use.
• Attend company-provided training programs.
