About The Position
Mativ is seeking an R&D Intern for a full-time, 6-month term position from January 4th to June 30th. This role involves working in a laboratory environment with exposure to a manufacturing floor. The standard work week is 40 hours, 5 days a week. Candidates should be aware that they will not be able to take summer courses while employed in this role.
Requirements
- Great Efficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Good organizational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Laboratory experience
- Independently driven
Nice To Haves
- Working towards a degree in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical or Bio Engineering
Responsibilities
- Key R&D and site project support
- Industrial and Medical adhesives coating – sample preparation, testing
- Automotive and Aerospace qualified adhesives and coatings
- General Raw material screening and analysis
- Process Optimization/Continuous Improvement Projects
- Product development trial coverage/evaluation (with supervision)
- Product Cost Modeling/Analysis
- Preparing presentations/presenting work
- Maintaining/organizing/cleaning workspace
- Keeping a Lab Notebook
