About The Position

In the role of R&D Intern, you will be part of a team involved with research, planning, designing and execution of experiments. You will evaluate results and provide recommendations to management. Your project will be in the exploratory, proof of concept, pilot, beta, initial commercialization or migration phase of new technology development. Successful interns will have exceptional technical and leadership skills and the ability to effectively apply those skills in an industrial environment. We are looking for highly creative individuals with initiative and drive, a strong commitment to safety, excellent interpersonal & communication skills, and a track record of personal accountability and success throughout their academic and work career. Interns will also be given broad exposure to Linde’s business, engineering, and marketing functions. R&D internship opportunities are available for students in the following areas: Advanced Process Control, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Applications, Electronics & Specialty Gas Applications, Machinery Development (compressors, turbines, pumps), Materials Development (catalysts, adsorbents, polymeric membranes), Separations Process Development, Semiconductor Materials, Adsorption Materials Process Development, Combustion and Metals Technology/Fabrication, Reaction Engineering, Operations Research, Process Equipment, Process Chemistry, Heat Transfer, Food/Beverage and Water Applications, Cryogenic Air Separation, Hydrogen and Energy Supply System.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD in one of the following majors (Minimum GPA of 3.5): Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science or Ceramics, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
  • Exceptional technical and leadership skills.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate of $37-39/hr.
