About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting new braiding and weaving projects, involving learning relevant technologies, assisting with new product development, and contributing to technical problem-solving and issue resolution. The intern will also gain experience in laboratory testing methods, such as abrasion testing and material performance evaluations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams like Product Engineering, Sales, and Applications Engineering is a key aspect of supporting development and commercialization efforts. Upon completion, the intern will gain an understanding of basic textile technologies, product development processes, develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in an R&D setting, and enhance teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support new braiding projects, including learning braiding technologies and assisting with new product development and technical problem-solving.
• Support new weaving projects, including learning weaving technologies and contributing to new product development and issue resolution.
• Learn and assist with laboratory testing methods, such as abrasion testing and other material performance evaluations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Product Engineering, Sales, and Applications Engineering to support development and commercialization efforts.
