About The Position

Do you want to make a real impact on patients? Imperative Care is redefining vascular thrombus management. Every day, the technologies that we advance at Imperative Care directly impact people, and as part of our team, you’ll be developing breakthroughs that will benefit patients across the care continuum. This position works alongside the engineering team and individually to assist in projects focused on neurovascular and peripheral product improvements for existing products within R&D.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an engineering discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Familiar with R&D equipment used for prototyping common medical devices (hot boxes, adhesives, soldering, bonding, fuse joining)
  • Able to use SolidWorks for drawing and designing tooling, fixtures, devices and related items
  • Knowledge of materials (Polymers, Metals, Chemicals) as related to medical devices
  • Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
  • Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and partnership with R&D and other cross-functional departments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD, machining, and rapid prototyping tools a plus tensile, simulated use, or other test methods related to the project

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, and development and prototyping of new concepts and test procedures
  • Design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate device safety
  • Review test data against established acceptance criteria and write appropriate test reports
  • Interact with engineers to understand product requirements
  • Document relevant information (i.e.., new ideas, test results, build procedure, etc.) in lab notebook according to good laboratory practices or company procedure
  • Assist in bench lab work and on material efforts
