About The Position

The summer internship is offered by the Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery (WCH&B) Life Cycle Management (LCM) Research & Development (R&D) department within the division of JNJ MedTech. The Internship Program is focused on providing college students with practical, industrial R&D experience. The WCH&B R&D LCM Summer Intern will: work collaboratively with WCH&B LCM R&D staff supporting ongoing projects assist with activities associated with ongoing projects, including hands-on lab work participate in ongoing project team meetings including slide preparation for research updates and clear communication of results be exposed to various other functions within the larger cross-functional departments

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering) or science-related field (e.g., Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry).
  • Students who have hands-on lab work (either through classwork or research) will be preferred
  • Demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills, work effectively in teams, collaborate seamlessly with others
  • Position will be based in Raritan, NJ
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
