About The Position

This co-op position in R&D Engineering focuses on disposables. The role involves designing and prototyping concepts using real-world data and evaluation methods, conducting hands-on testing (simulated use, mechanical testing, root cause investigation), and implementing product design changes to improve performance, manufacturability, and cost. The position also requires making data-driven design decisions using statistics and risk analysis, completing change impact assessments with cross-functional input, and assisting in additional R&D activities as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Working knowledge in mechanical design
• Working knowledge of basic statistics and GD&T
• Ability to analyze, understand, and communicate technical information
• Organization and attention to detail
• Adept at managing multiple tasks, prioritization and working with others

Nice To Haves

• Experience with analysis of biomedical image data
• Interest in medical device design, engineering, or manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype concepts using real-world data and evaluation methods
