This role involves designing and implementing analog/mixed-signal circuits in advanced CMOS technology for integration into system-on-chip products. The engineer will be responsible for understanding circuit functionality, developing and improving circuit solutions, and simulating circuits. They will also present and receive technical feedback during reviews. Key responsibilities include designing, modeling, documenting, and communicating Analog IP to internal customers, creating specifications, and defining package and PC board requirements. The role also requires characterizing and debugging analog designs for manufacturability, developing circuit test plans, performing testing (individually or with the DVT group), and collaborating with operations for testing and QA. Supporting system and field applications engineers by answering customer questions is also a part of the job. The engineer will understand the system-level architectural design of broadband communication SoCs and participate in BU meetings to develop solutions for specific products. Collaboration is key, involving sharing expertise, providing and receiving feedback, and working with team members to resolve technical issues. Meeting deadlines and schedules as part of a team effort, estimating task completion times, communicating progress, and identifying/resolving schedule issues are also expected.
