About The Position

This co-op position at Procter and Gamble (P&G) is for University of Cincinnati students only, specifically for the 2028/2029 academic year. It offers an opportunity to gain experience in Research and Development (R&D) by actively participating in the creation, reimagining, and launching of new innovations that improve consumers' lives globally. The co-op duration ranges from 12-24 weeks within the fiscal year, and co-ops receive an allowance. P&G views these sessions as temporary employment without commitment to full-time roles. The company emphasizes innovation as its core, investing in ensuring its products meet the needs of its global consumers across numerous brands. Co-ops will be equipped with innovation tools, encouraged to engage in the innovation process, and tasked with addressing real business needs. Requirements

  • In progress towards a BS in a life or physical science field such as Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical and Measurement Science, Microbiology, Packaging Science, or a related field.
  • Roles are available for Chemical, Mechanical, and Biomedical Engineering.
  • Increasingly, roles are suited for Data Science/Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or other related engineering fields.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering experience in design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • 3D CAD design proficiency.
  • Computer programming languages, such as C, C++.
  • Experience with MCU software development.

Responsibilities

  • Find new ways to innovate, develop, and manufacture consumer products.
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial partners.
  • Understand consumers and their needs to advise product design parameters for new or improved products.
  • Translate consumer needs into the development of finished products using available technologies/chemicals/materials.
  • Create and improve packages and devices that delight consumers and retailers, ensuring superior function, premium design, and responsible development with sustainability in mind.
  • Translate ideas, concepts, and technologies into the design and scale-up of commercially feasible manufacturing processes.
  • Develop new raw material technologies to meet customer needs with high-quality, best-performing materials.
  • Develop new mathematical models to speed the pace and impact of innovations.
  • Communicate sophisticated data or algorithms into simple conclusions that empower others to drive action based on derived insights.
  • Transform the business to enable better decision-making through the use of advanced analytics.
