About The Position

Nissan is seeking an Engineer 2 to join its team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The role leads cross-functional teams in reviewing open electrical issues and advancing quality development by collecting and reviewing information and determining the system impact of electronic component changes within a vehicle system. The position also works with international affiliates in Japan and Mexico on project development. Domestic and international travel of up to 10–20% may be required, and overtime may be necessary to complete the job.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of applicable experience.
• Proven experience in automotive electronics design and testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, fair, transparent, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10–20% as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility at hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the advanced quality development of electrical components and systems.
• Monitor and track project development status.
• Coordinate vehicle validation activities.
• Report milestone events to management.
• Prepare and present reports using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Create and implement continuous improvement activities that benefit customers and the company.
• Communicate and collaborate with international affiliates in Japan and Mexico to execute project development.
