About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the implementation of development specifications for our EC technology by simulation, calculation, measurement, evaluation, and optimization in a marketable product.

Requirements

  • Ability to sit for entirety of shift and work on computer.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop and walk the production floor.
  • Heavy lifting (50lbs. To 70lbs.)
  • Flexibility to work overtime as requested.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus on relevant work for entirety of shift.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Development of new scalable hardware technologies, initial operation, and validation of modular hardware blocks of innovative EC drives and controls.
  • Construction and testing of EC technology according to development specifications.
  • Develop and setup prototypes and samples.
  • Conduct electrical measurements (such as magnetization and torque characteristics, simulation of load spectrums) of external rotor motors (AC and EC / PMSM).
  • Perform internal testing and guide through external tests and qualifications.
  • Handle schematics of our motor PCB.
  • Coordination of sample procurement of new previously specified components.
  • Generation of technical documents as a basis for approvals.
  • Creation of test and product documentation.
  • Specification and evaluation of second source components.
  • Troubleshooting on the electrical system and the associated electronic assemblies.
  • Go with the product launch as part of interdisciplinary project work.
  • Work with a dedicated team in NC/USA and Germany and communicate effectively with MS teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
