About The Position

Caldera Medical is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead electrical work across two product lines: Gynesis, a wearable neuromodulation platform progressing toward market, and an established surgical product line. The role offers ownership of electrical design for new products and design improvements for products already in use. The engineer will work within a small, collaborative R&D team and partner with external engineering resources and internal Systems and Mechanical Engineering teams.

Requirements

BSEE, BSECE, or equivalent.
5–7 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience.
Experience working with external design partners or vendors on component-level design.
Experience with design improvement or cost reduction (DFM/VAVE) and electrical verification and validation.

Nice To Haves

Medical device experience is strongly preferred.
NMES/electrostimulation or wearable electronics experience.
Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA design controls.

Responsibilities

Lead component-level electrical design for new product development, partnering with external engineering resources to bring products to market.
Drive design improvements and design-for-manufacturing initiatives for an in-market product.
Define and coordinate electrical interfaces across connectors, boards, and components.
Collaborate with Systems and Mechanical Engineering on cross-functional design decisions.
Own electrical verification and validation planning and execution.
Support design documentation, risk management, and IEC 60601 safety and EMC testing.
