About The Position

As a Fall 2027 Co-op - R&D Coffee Process Engineer at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) in our Burlington, MA headquarters, you will get to improve the coffee manufacturing process and work directly on developing products enjoyed by millions of Americans. This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit. The KDP Fall 2027 Co-op program runs from July 12th – December 10th, 2027. As an R&D Coffee Process Engineer co-op, you will learn about the process of making coffee from harvest to brewing, understand and work on the manufacturing process and equipment utilized to create K-cups and other coffee products, and get hands-on with development of products including roasting and tasting. You will work with fellow R&D scientists and engineers to create and execute lab, pilot, and full-scale manufacturing experiments to support coffee product development and process improvement, and apply and develop technical skills for statistical analysis, food science, chemistry, physics, and more. Elements of the KDP 2027 Co-op Program include engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment, receiving mentor support for your professional development, participating in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders, and receiving professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting. You will also complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department, and senior leaders to highlight your project work and impact on the business.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate currently enrolled in a full-time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in food science, engineering (chemical, mechanical, etc.), or other related scientific fields
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills including excellent listening, writing, and verbal abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes
  • Understanding of experimental design and execution
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Passion for coffee and learning!
  • Must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders who require sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
