The Quotations Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with customers and vendors to secure pricing positions for bids. Responsible for reviewing bid packages, formulating project quotations, and providing product knowledge. This role involves quoting low to moderate profile/complex projects, reviewing bid packages for technical, commercial, and documentation requirements, and working closely with Outside Sales or branches to develop proposal strategies. The specialist will format customer requests, issue RFQs to vendors, compile bid tabulations, and prepare final proposals. Negotiation with suppliers, offering substitute products, and participating in product training are also key aspects. Additionally, the role involves utilizing digital tools to promote products and increase business, establishing customer and supplier relationships, and performing other assigned duties.
