About The Position

Hammond Power Solutions Inc. is a global manufacturer headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and is a leader in North America for the custom design and manufacture of dry type transformers. For the past century, HPS has delivered electrical power solutions to global markets for complex applications such as mining, rectifier, drives, traction, wind, solar, and many other electrical power applications. The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. This role is a 6-month contract position.

Requirements

  • CET or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with an ERP system (D635 preferred).
  • Strong communications and organizational skills.
  • Must have an eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a CRM is preferred.
  • Strong electrical knowledge an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate product type is quoted through application analysis of request.
  • Ensure specification accuracy is achieved, or appropriate exceptions are taken.
  • Ensure appropriate tools are used to pricing and notify Team Leader if updates are necessary.
  • Provide accurate and error free calculations.
  • Negotiate the best possible price given the order, customer, with reference to manufacturing lead times and capabilities.
  • Provide feedback and documentation on competitiveness in the marketplace.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and other departments to preserve customer relationships.
