The Heavy Equipment Quick Turn Technician performs basic maintenance on machines returned from rent, including rental turns and preventive maintenance on the rental fleet. The position inspects equipment for damage and operational function, changes oil filters, lubricates equipment, and replaces parts. The technician also helps keep machines and the yard organized and clean, assists customers with loading and unloading equipment, and supports other technicians as needed. The role follows equipment repair priorities established by the Service Manager, uses maintenance manuals to assist with repairs, opens work orders when needed, and communicates suspected customer damage, hazards, accidents, injuries, near mishaps, and spare-parts needs to the Service Manager. The technician completes quality-control service tags for every inspected rental unit and performs assigned requests and projects within specified timelines. The work is primarily indoors in a non-climate-controlled environment, around moving mechanical parts. It may involve cramped spaces or high places and exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment. The role requires use of personal protective equipment, tools, machines, computers, and other technology. Blanchard Machinery Company describes a high-performance work culture and offers competitive pay, benefits, CAT training and development, a supportive environment, continued learning, and advancement opportunities.
