About The Position

International is looking for a Quick Team Leader to Lead our Quick team at our Huntsville AL Location. As the Quick Team Leader you are responsible for investigating and resolving quality deviations within defined timelines, leads cross-functional analysis, and provides status updates in meetings. They also prepare reports, track corrective actions, manage delivery stops, and collaborate with various teams, ensuring efficient coordination and informed decision-making aligned with Traton Core Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical project/program management experience OR Master's degree and at least 1 year of technical project/program management experience OR At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
  • We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Manufacturing related field desired
  • Additional qualifications or certifications in quality, project management, or systems engineering are a plus
  • Strong leadership and influence management skills; ability to guide cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging audiences from engineering teams to executive leadership
  • Desired proficiency in statistical data analysis and performance metric tracking
  • Solid engineering background in truck chassis/cab systems and/or bus body systems or Manufacturing Processes.
  • Problem solving experience leading root cause analysis, and issue resolution strategies

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quick Team investigating quality deviations reported by the end customer (FQ) or Manufacturing (PR) and managing the Delivery Stop (DS) Process.
  • Define and implement Short-Term Actions (or Long Term) in 24h or delivering a Long-Term Action in 20 business days (or plan for).
  • Accept assignment to lead investigation on issues impacting our customers (FQ) or plant (PR) issues with potential customer impact that require cross functional analysis.
  • Attend and update various meetings to receive assignments and share status updates as needed in accordance with the 1PDP Red arrow process.
  • Attend the Quick Meetings to ensure proper communication of investigations that may impact other plants.
  • Handover investigations that are beyond the Quick team capabilities. Ex: design changes that require simulation, and or validation.
  • Prepare data to support investigation results to include 3 Diamond, 8D, Pyxis, SPS report, One Page report, etc.
  • Managing record of team activities for metrics updates.
  • Ensure proper communication with the Plant Quality Manager and the PM Manager (Product Quality).
  • Ensure proper work balance within the team keeping the Quick Team Manager aware of overload tasks.
  • Properly prioritize issues to ensure focus on high priority issues and proper time management on each investigation.
  • Identify team training opportunities to address gap on performance
  • Lead Pre-Delivery Stop Meeting and provide input to the Quality VP for delivery stop decisions.
  • Ensure proper coordination for Delivery Stop and establish meeting cadence.
  • Make sure the QTL-M has all the data needed for Delivery Stop Pulse Meeting
