About The Position

Kelleher Ford, a part of the AutoCanada dealership network, is seeking a Full Time Quick Lube Technician for immediate hire in Brandon, MB. The dealership environment is fast-paced and dynamic. As a Quick Lube Technician, your primary responsibility will be inspecting and lubricating customer vehicles according to company policies and procedures, under the direction of the Service Manager. This role also involves performing light mechanical tasks such as tire and battery replacement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving history

Responsibilities

  • Perform Oil & filter changes
  • Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
  • Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle, check, and mark all required items on the checklist as required. Present the findings to the Service Advisor
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary
  • Check tire pressure and add air if needed
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
  • Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Document all work performed on the repair order
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean
  • Notify the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management
  • Other tasks as assigned
