About The Position

Malloy Chevy in Charlottesville is looking for a Quick Lube-Tech to join our growing quick-lane shop. Our maintenance volume is growing and we need technicians to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background. The day-to-day duties includes maintenance services, fluid exchanges, basic maintenance; brakes, tires, and light diagnostic work. We have a fantastic shop of technicians and we would love to see you come and grow with us. This position lines up the right person to gain experience with the brand, grow their certifications, and to move into the main shop. It puts you on track to learn various areas of the automotive field, from EV to gas vehicles, to diesel and commercial vehicles. This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lube Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year in service department required
High school diploma or GED
Ability to identify the problem quickly
Knowledge of automobiles
Effective analytical and communication skills
Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Positive, friendly attitude
