About The Position

As a Query Engineer at Golden Analytics, you’ll build and own our connections to the world - files, databases, cloud services, data lakes - we will go to where our customer’s data resides. You’ll help us build connectors and query systems that balance expressiveness and speed, pushing to help our customers get more from their data. This isn't a role where you hand off specs and wait for feedback. You’ll talk to customers about their data issues, propose and build solutions, and get them out to customers quickly.

Requirements

5+ years of experience working on the internals of data products with strong development experience at the data layer - SQL, cloud-based database systems, data lakes, data interchange formats and techniques. You have built these layers, not just used them as a data engineer.
Full stack development experience and integration with cloud-deployed customer-facing applications - Vite, Node, TypeScript, React, Postgres, Vercel, Supabase (and more as we grow)
Experience building with AI/ML technologies (LLMs, vector databases, coding agents, etc.)
Track record of shipping rich data-focused products
Product thinking and customer orientation
Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration

Build functionality to ingest, transform, and analyze data at scale.
Build a query layer that can talk to a wide variety of databases and express rich operations.
Build smart data preparation and enrichment.
Build data modeling for analysis.
