About The Position
As part of our dedicated team, the Quarry Operator performs assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness and a level of proficiency that minimizes the risk of personal injury or property damage. This role involves operating a splitter with an assistant to position raw material for breaking, palletizing finished product, tying off and properly tagging finished pallets, maintaining a safe and orderly workplace per MSHA regulations, and banding pallets of finished product using a banding device.
Requirements
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds or more
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to read and write to record daily logs and maintain daily equipment checklists
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industry is a plus
Responsibilities
- Operate splitter with assistant to maneuver pieces of raw material in position to break apart with splitter
- Palletize finished product
- Tie off and properly tag finished pallets
- Maintain a safe and orderly workplace per MSHA regulations
- Band pallets of finished product using banding device
