About The Position

The AWS Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is seeking interns to join their mission of developing a fault-tolerant quantum computer. This internship offers access to state-of-the-art resources, mentorship from industry leaders, and the opportunity to sharpen technical skills while fostering critical thinking and effective communication in an innovative environment. Interns will contribute to the forefront of applied science, shaping the future of Quantum Computing. Amazon has positions available for Quantum Research Science and Applied Science Internships in Santa Clara, CA and Pasadena, CA.

Requirements

• Are 18 years of age or older
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
• Can relocate to where the internship is based
• Are enrolled in a PhD

Nice To Haves

• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.)
• Familiarity in one or more of the following areas: superconducting qubits, cavity/circuit QED, quantum fabrication, quantum optics, open quantum systems, superconductivity, electromagnetic simulations of superconducting circuits, microwave engineering, benchmarking, quantum error correction, or related topic.
• Interest in staying abreast of new research developments in the field of quantum computation
