Quantitative Research Internship
About The Position
RA Capital is seeking a Quantitative Research & Strategy Intern to join their team. This internship offers college students interested in life science investing a comprehensive learning experience. Interns will contribute to the company's research efforts by collecting, streamlining, and organizing detailed data. They will gain exposure to internal and external third-party databases to enable the collection, curation, and management of large data sets to support a diverse set of analyses. The role requires candidates to be eager to experiment with ways to incorporate AI into their work for efficiency and effectiveness, as RA Capital is looking for AI-forward individuals to leverage these tools. Interns will collaborate daily with investors, founders, physicians, biologists, engineers, economists, and reform advocates.
Requirements
- Current student within 1 year of graduation (Bachelors or higher) in a STEM degree.
- Strong knowledge of python and SQL.
- Curious, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to changing projects and priorities.
- Based in Massachusetts (consideration will be given to applicants who are willing and able to relocate to MA for the duration of the internship).
- Ability to work out of our Boston office for the duration of the internship, approximately a 10 week commitment beginning on/around June 22, 2026.
- Able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

- Taking existing python and SQL based analyses and making them scalable.
- Understanding how to source, transform, and analyze data to answer key questions from senior leadership.
