About The Position

This 10-week internship program within Barclays' Quant focused business areas aims to provide interns with invaluable insights into the work and culture of the markets division. The program is designed as a 1-2 year targeted, fast-track to develop specialist technical expertise. Interns will be embedded with Quant teams, expected to make a tangible impact from day one by utilizing AI tools for algorithmic trading strategies, researching and developing models, or producing data analysis tools for valuation and risk management. The program offers opportunities to join specialist teams such as Markets Quantitative Analytics, Risk Quantitative Analytics, and Electronic Trading.

Requirements

  • Participation in the day-to-day activities of the markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support decision making in the global markets division.
